The QuickFormat Mini Toolbar is another new function of Word 2007. It’s this cool little toolbar that stays hidden and out of your way, most of the time. But, from time to time, whenever it thinks it’s needed, it slowly fades into focus.
The only trick to getting the QuickFormat Mini Toolbar to pop up so you can use the common formatting functions it contains like Bold, Italic, Font Face and Font Size is to select some text. You should see the toolbar appear just above and to the right of your mouse. If you want to use it, just hover your mouse right on top of it and it will then come clearly into focus. Now, you’re ready to click any button on that toolbar.
When you’re done, simply move your mouse away from the QuickFormat Mini Toolbar and it will fade away.
