PowerPoint 2007: Grouping & Ungrouping Objects

Often, you’re in a position of combining several objects together to create one look.

Once you have everything where you want it, it’s a good idea to physically “group” them together. This way, several objects can move as one.

  1. Select the first object you want included in your group
     
  2.  
  3. While holding [Shift], click each additional object you want included in your group
     
  4.  
  5.  Choose the Group command in the Arrange Group on the Pictures Tools Format Contextual Tab (the Group command can also be found on the Drawing Tools Contextual Tab)
     
  6.  
  7. Choose Group
     

Ungrouping Objects

     
  1. Select the object you want to ungroup
     
  2.  
  3. Choose the Group command in the Arrange Group on the Pictures Tools Format Contextual Tab
     
  4.  
  5. Choose Ungroup
