Excel 2003: Creating a Chart Sheet

When you use the Chart Wizard to create a chart, it defaults to creating a chart that is embedded within the worksheet that contains the chart data. But, on occasion, it’s nice if the chart can print on its own page. This is when you would use a Chart Sheet and there are a few ways to create a chart sheet.

Creating a Chart Sheet Using a Shortcut Key

  1. Select the cells that contain the data that you want to use for the chart
  3. Press F11

Changing an Embedded Chart to a Chart Sheet Using the Shortcut Menu

  3. Choose Location from the Shortcut menu

   3.      Select “As new sheet” and enter a name for the new chart sheet

   4.      Click OK
