Error Message: “This Application Requires Microsoft Windows Media Player 6.4 or Later to Work”

Introduction
Due to advances in technology, our courseware runs at optimum when played using Microsoft Windows Media Player 6.4 (or later). If you are using an older version of Microsoft Windows Media Player, you may need to upgrade.

Resolution
When you install Internet Explorer 7 (or later), you may see the following message: “This application requires Microsoft Windows Media Player 6.4 or later to work.”

To resolve this issue, follow these steps:

  1. When you see this message, please download and install the KeyStone DLL Internet Explorer 7 Update Installer by click this link or copying and pasting the following web address into your Internet Explorer Address Bar: http://www.keystonelearning.com/support_files/kls_dll_ie7_update.exe.
  2. When prompted, save the “kls_dll_ie7.exe” file to your computer’s hard drive.
  3. Locate and double-click the “kls_dll_ie7.exe” file to begin the installation of the update.
  1. Follow the installation prompts to run and install the installation file.
