In order to be able to create different Headers and Footers throughout your document, or even different sets of page numbering for that matter, you need to have a good understanding of Section Breaks.
Section Breaks allow you to separate some pages from others so you can apply different page formatting.
For instance, there may be times when you have a need to display one page in a multiple page document in Landscape orientation while the rest of the document is in Portrait orientation.
This type of section break also works really well when you’re setting up any document for double-sided printing.
Section Break Type…
What It Does…
Marks the point at which one page ends and another page begins.
Indicates that the text following the break will begin in the next column.
Separates text around objects.
Inserts a section break and starts a new section on the next page. This is particularly useful when you need different page settings from page to page.

Inserting a Section Break
1. Position your cursor in your text where you want the section break to start
2. Choose the Breaks command in the Page Setup Group on the Page Layout tab
3. Choose your break
