PowerPoint 2007: Inserting, Viewing & Editing Comments

Comments are a great way to add reminders and notations about your presentation. Comments act like sticky notes that contain information about your slide.

All of the comment-related commands that you’ll need to effectively work with comments can be found in the Comments group on the Review tab.

Inserting & Editing Comments

Once you decide which text you need to flag with notes, getting those notes attached is a piece of cake.

Inserting A Comment Using the Ribbon

     
  1.  Choose the New Comment command in the Comments group on the Review tab
     
  2.  
  3. Enter your comment text
     
  4.  
  5. Move your comment indicator

Editing A Comment

     
  1. Select the comment
     
  2.  
  3.  Choose the Edit Comment command in the Comments group on the Review tab
     

Deleting Comments

Comments are in no way, shape or form permanent. And, they are just as easy to remove as they are to insert.

  3.  Click the Delete command in the Comments group on the Review tab
     

Deleting A Comment Using the Shortcut Menu

     
  1. Right-click the comment indicator
     
  2.  
  3. Choose Delete Comment from the Shortcut Menu
