PowerPoint 2003: Working with Comments

Comments are a great way to add reminders and notations about your presentation. Comments act like sticky notes that contain information about your slide.

Once you decide which text you need to flag with notes, getting those notes attached is a piece of cake.

First, display the Reviewing toolbar by right-clicking any existing toolbar and choosing “Reviewing” from the Shortcut menu. This displays a toolbar you can use to work specifically with comments. Alternatively, you can choose Insert: Comment from the Menu bar.

Inserting a Comment
     
  1. Choose the New Comment command on the Reviewing toolbar
     
  2.  
  3. Enter your comment text
     
  4.  
  5. Move your comment indicator

Comments are in no way, shape or form permanent. And, they are just as easy to remove as they are to insert.

Deleting a Comment
     
  1. Select the comment
     
  2.  
  3. Click the Delete Comment command on the Reviewing toolbar

  3. Choose Delete Comment from the Shortcut menu
     
Editing Comments
     
  1. Select the comment
     
  2.  
  3. Choose the Edit Comment command on the Reviewing toolbar
