Outlook 2007: Saving a Message as a Draft

Occasionally, you may need to delay sending an e-mail message for one reason or another. In this case, it’s a good idea to save a draft of the message so that you can return to it at a later time. This way, you can get your thoughts down in an e-mail right away, but hold off sending it until you can review it at a later time.

Saving a Message as a Draft

     
  1. Create a new e-mail message
     
  2.  
  3. Fill-in all portions you can (To, CC, BCC, Subject & Body)
     
  4.  
  5. Choose File: Save from the Menu Bar
     
  6.  
  7. Close the message
     

Reviewing & Editing Draft Messages

     
  1. From your Inbox, choose Drafts under All Mail Items
     
  2.  
  3. Double-click the Draft Message you want to edit or send
      (This opens the messages)
     
  4.  
  5. Make your changes and choose File: Save or Send
