Outlook 2007: Responding to a Task Request

A new task request, much like a meeting request, appears in your Inbox as a new e-mail message.

When you open a task request you’ve received from someone else, the Task tab surprises you with a new group – Respond.

In the Respond group, all you need to do is choose the response you’d like Outlook to send back to the person who assigned the task.

  1. Open a task request in your Inbox

    2.       Choose Accept or Decline in the Respond group on the Task tab

    3.       Choose the appropriate action in the Task Request Response Dialog Box

    4.       Click OK
