Outlook 2007: Editing, Sorting & Viewing Tasks

Once you start to creating your tasks, there are several things you can do with them (including sharing them with others through e-mail).

Editing Tasks

Tasks are easily edited – it’s just a simple double-click.

     
  1. Choose Tasks in the Navigation Pane
     
  2.  
  3. Double-click a Task to open it
     
  4.  
  5. Make your text changes
     
  6.  
  7. Click the Close button
     

Viewing Tasks

In addition to using the To-Do List view, there are few additional Tasks views available in the Current View drop-down located on the Advanced Toolbar.

     
  1. Choose the Current View drop-down in the Advanced Toolbar
     
  2.  
  3. Click another Tasks view
     

Sorting Tasks

By default, the Tasks you create are sorted in order by the date they are due.

     
  1. Choose Tasks in the Navigation Pane
     
  2.  
  3. Right-Click in the Tasks Pane
     
  4.  
  5. Choose Sort… from the Shortcut Menu

    4.       Set your Sort Options

    5.       Click OK
