Outlook 2007: Editing & Deleting Rules

Once rules are created, they’re fairly easy to modify and even delete.

Editing a Rule

     
  1. View your Inbox
     
  2.  
  3. Choose Tools from the Menu Bar
     
  4.  
  5. Choose Rules and Alerts…
     
  6.  
  7. Select the rule you want to edit

    5.       Click any blue, underline text to change the criteria

    6.       To make additional changes to your rule, choose Change Rule

    7.       Choose Edit Rule Settings…

    8.       Make your changes

    9.       When finished, close both dialog boxes

Deleting a Rule

  3. Choose Tools from the Menu Bar

  5. Choose Rules and Alerts…

  7.  Select the rule you want to delete

  9.  Choose Delete
