Outlook 2007: Editing an Appointment

Any appointment can be modified after it has been created. You can move it to a new day or time using a drag and drop method. Or, you can edit the appointment text by double-clicking. Plus, you can delete an appointment or copy an existing appointment.

Editing Appointment Text

     
  1. Double-click an existing appointment
      (The Appointment Window opens)

  3. Edit the text
     
  4.  
  5. Choose the Save & Close command in the Actions group on the Appointment tab
     

Moving an Appointment to a New Time

     
  1. Position your mouse inside the appointment in Calendar View
     
  2.  
  3. Drag and drop the appointment using the left mouse button to a new time by dragging up or down
     

Moving an Appointment to a New Day

     
  1. Position your mouse inside the appointment in Calendar View
     
  2.  
  3. Drag the appointment to the mini-calendar view, dropping it on the new day
     

Copying an Existing Appointment

     
  1. Position your mouse inside the appointment in Calendar View
     
  2.  
  3. Press and hold [Ctrl]
     
  4.  
  5. Drag and drop the appointment using the left mouse button to a new time or day by dragging
     
  6.  
  7. Release your mouse button first, then release [Ctrl]
     

Deleting an Appointment

     
  1. Select an existing appointment
     
  2.  
  3.  Click the Delete command in the Standard Toolbar
