Outlook 2007: Customizing Toolbars

In all of your experience with Outlook, you’ve no doubt found a command or two that you find yourself plowing through the Menu Bar to access. Instead of digging through the Menu Bar, you can add common commands to your existing Standard and Formatting toolbars so you can just click a button.

Adding a Button to a Toolbar

     
  1. Right-click any toolbar
     
  2.  
  3. Choose Customize…

    3.       Find the menu command you want to add and drag it onto either the Standard or Advanced toolbar

    4.       When finished, click Close



Removing a Button from a Toolbar

You can remove a button from a toolbar by either opening the Customize Dialog Box or simply holding down [Alt] and dragging a button off.

     
  1. Right-click any toolbar

  3. Choose Customize…
     
  4.  
  5. Drag any button off an open toolbar
     
  6.  
  7. When finished, click Close
