Outlook 2003: Creating an Appointment

I’m sure you’ve used a paper calendar. And, for some people the transition from a paper calendar to an electronic one can be a little difficult. But, it’s really just a matter of creating a new habit.

In Outlook, adding and editing appointments really doesn’t take any more time that it would take to write an appointment on a piece of paper.

Creating an Appointment Using the Standard Toolbar

     
  1. Click Calendar in the Navigation Pane
     
  2.  
  3. Click the New Appointment button in the Standard Toolbar
     
  4.  
  5. Enter the appointment details
     
  6.  
  7. Choose Save & Close on the Appointment Standard toolbar
     

Creating an Appointment by Double-Clicking

     
  1. Click Calendar in the Navigation Pane
     
  2.  
  3. Double-click the time slot in the Calendar for your new appointment
     
  4.  
  5. Enter the appointment details
     
  6.  
  7. Choose Save & Close on the Appointment Standard toolbar
     

Creating an Appointment by Selecting a Time Frame

     
  1. Click Calendar in the Navigation Pane
     
  2.  
  3. Drag to select a time slot in the Calendar for your new appointment
     
  4.  
  5. Type the appointment details
