Excel 2003: Use Expressions in Conditional Formatting

It’s always nice to be able to apply your knowledge of formulas to other areas. In this lesson, you’ll see how to use a formula as the criteria for your conditional formatting.

     
  1. Select the cells to which you want to apply the conditional formatting
     
  2.  
  3. Choose Format: Conditional Formatting… from the Menu bar
     
  4.  
  5. Under Condition, click the drop-down arrow and choose “Formula Is
