Excel 2003: Changing Margins & Page Orientation

Often, the key to getting your worksheet to print the way you want it to is as simple as adjusting the margins and the page orientation. Excel 2003 makes changing these features pretty easy through the Page Setup Dialog box.

Changing the Margins

  1. Click File on the Menu bar

  2.
  3. Choose Page Setup…

Changing the Page Orientation

With page orientation, you only have two options: Portrait and Landscape.

Portrait prints Short Side x Long Side (i.e. 8.5 x 11). Landscape prints Long Side x Short Side (i.e. 11 x 8.5).

  1. Click File on the Menu bar

  2.
  3. Choose Page Setup…

  4.
  5. Click the Page tab

  6.
  7. Select Portrait or Landscape
