Access 2007: Adding Graphic Details

Nothing adds punch to your forms and reports like a company logo or other graphic. In the previous section, you learned how to insert a graphic, such as a company logo. Since the steps are the same in a report, let’s look instead at the inserting other graphic details such as lines and boxes.

Adding Lines to a Report

     
  1. Open a Report in Design View
     
  2.  
  3. Choose the Line command in the Controls group on the Report Design Tools Design Contextual tab
     
  4.  
  5.  Click and Drag to draw a line in your report
     

Adding Rectangles to a Report

     
  1. Open a Report in Design View
     
  2.  
  3. Choose the Rectangle command in the Controls group on the Report Design Tools Design Contextual tab
     
  4.  
  5.  Click and Drag to draw a line in your report
     

Modifying Line Thickness

     
  1. Open a Report in Design View
     
  2.  
  3. Select the Line or Rectangle you want to modify
     
  4.  
  5.  Choose the Line Thickness command in the Controls group on the Report Design Tools Design Contextual tab
     
  6.  
  7. Choose a new line thickness
     

 Modifying Line Color

     
  1. Open a Report in Design View
     
  2.  
  3. Select the Line or Rectangle you want to modify
     
  4.  
  5. Choose the Line Color command in the Controls group on the Report Design Tools Design Contextual tab
