Access 2003: Creating a Database Using a Wizard

I’m always amazed at the number of people who don’t take advantage of the wealth of templates Microsoft uploads to their website. And, they’re all free.

Before you start creating something, do yourself a favor and do a quick search to see if anyone else has already created it. Chances are good that what you need has already been created and you can save yourself a ton of time by just downloading someone else’s creation.

Using an Installed Template
     
  1. Click File: New from the Menu bar
     
  2.  
  3. Choose On my computer… in the New File task pane
     
  4.  
  5. Click the Databases tab

   4.      Select one of the listed templates

   5.      Click OK



Using a Template from Microsoft Office Online
     
  1. Click File: New from the Menu bar
     
  2.  
  3. Choose Templates on Office Online in the New File task pane
     
  4.  
  5. Select one of the templates
     
  6.  
  7. Click Download
