The Complete Microsoft Visio 2010 Training Solution (because you need a plan)

We think this Visio 2010 Training course is great, and we believe you'll think so, too.  We could go on and on about the benefits of training and how it positively impacts user productivity ultimately resulting in a net gain of getting more done in a shorter amount of time. But, you already know all of that.

What you don't know is what makes us different.

KeyStone Learning Systems offers comprehensive training solutions for enterprise clients. What does that mean? If you're a company looking for high quality Microsoft Visio 2010 end-user training you can track and assign with the ability to customize the off-the-shelf content, we can help.

The next you get a request for Visio 2010 training, you can open your web browser, assign a user to a course and they have access... immediately. Our system tracks your users, what courses they've taken and sends that usage data right back to you.

Did we mention there's no software to buy or install? The news just keeps getting better. Does your organization have Internet access? Silly question, we know. But, if you have that, you can have KeyStone OnDemand.

Basically, you license it and we stream it.

That's 24/7 access for you and your company with no hidden IT, support or other technology costs that we all know tend to add up pretty quickly. We think it's revolutionary, but we wouldnít mind hearing your opinion.

Did we mention?

  • Our trainers are MCTs with a passion for training that you'll feel from the first video
  • We offer unlimited Tier 1 support via email for licensed users
  • We provide complete training, migration and roll out support packages including Quick Reference Cards, Webinars, Posters, Pre and Post Assessments, Custom Introduction Videos (from your Management team), Awareness Campaigns, and Helpdesk Support Features.
  • Your company could be up and running with our training within 2-4 business hours (there are some time zone requirements here, but you get the idea)
  • You can add your own training content to our existing, and fabulous, off-the-shelf training

Key Learning Objectives for Microsoft Project 2010 Training:

  • You will learn how to provide context by adding text to your shapes and connectors
  • You will be able to link multiple drawing pages together to represent a larger process that spans many pages
  • You will know how to connect data to shapes, including data from external sources, such as an excel spreadsheet

Visio 2010 Training Instructor

Paul Branchaud

Paul Branchaud is a technical writer turned trainer who has taught many different types of software, from enterprise solutions to desktop office products. After graduating from Montreal’s Concordia University with a degree in Communications, he began his career writing user guides for small software companies with niche products and limited audiences. Leveraging his curious nature and willingness to explore the products he was documenting, he recognizes what readers need to know, allowing him to write clear and concise instructions designed to get users up to speed as quickly as possible.

Using his background in technical writing, where he could break down complex concepts into simpler ideas, Branchaud transitioned into training and course development. His courses use realistic examples that can be easily understood by his audiences who can then apply those examples to their daily tasks. Whether delivering live training to large audiences or individuals, or if the training is delivered through the internet, his audiences benefit from a thorough understanding of the product and thoughtfully-designed course material. Branchaud’s guiding philosophy is “If I can’t understand it, how can I be expected to explain it to my audience?”

In the Microsoft Visio 2010 Training course, Paul will guide users of all levels to better productivity through a complete understanding of Visio 2010.

Some Quick Microsoft VISIO 2010 Training Tips

Visio 2010 Training Tip: Get started quickly

The Visio start page displays a list of your most recently used templates, as well as options to use many other templates to get your diagram started quickly. (Microsoft Visio 2010 Training Tips: © KeyStone Learning Systems)

VISIO 2010 TRAINING TIP: quick shapes

The most commonly used shapes are available through the Quick Shapes window that appears when you place your cursor over a shape: arrows appear on the sides of the shape where a new shape can be added, and you simply select the new shape to add from the Quick Shapes window. (Microsoft Visio 2010 Training Tips: © KeyStone Learning Systems)

VISIO 2010 TRAINING TIP: Drag shapes to your diagram

Adding and linking new shapes within a diagram is a simple matter of dragging the desired shape from the Shapes window and into the diagram. Visio 2010 automatically aligns, connects, and distributes the new shape within the previously connected shapes. (Microsoft Visio 2010 Training Tips: © KeyStone Learning Systems)

VISIO 2010 TRAINING TIP: delete shapes with the delete key

If a shape is no longer needed in the diagram, you simply select the shape and press the Delete key. Visio will adjust the connections between the adjacent shapes automatically. (Microsoft Visio 2010 Training Tips: © KeyStone Learning Systems)

VISIO 2010 TRAINING TIP: Use Subprocess shape to define process on a seperate page

The new Subprocess shape allows you to define a process on a separate drawing page, which keeps your main drawing less cluttered. The benefit of the Subprocess shape is that you use only a single shape, whereas in previous versions, you had to use multiple shapes to represent the separate process. Additionally, the Subprocess shape is reusable! (Microsoft Visio 2010 Training Tips: © KeyStone Learning Systems)
