Professor of Digital Communications and Computer Applications
James Gonzalez is a computer applications and digital communications professor at the College of Marin, near San Francisco California, where he teaches courses in interactive media design, eLearning and Web technologies. His current professional focus is on the application of digital media in online instructional environments.
James has over 17 years of classroom teaching experience. He has spent the majority of this time designing, developing, and implementing various technology-focused instructional programs. He has taught courses nationwide on the use of digital media software and their applications in instructional environments and is the author of the best-selling Flash book, Flash 8 Professional Hands-On Training, published by Peachpit Press. James has also recently published numerous other video-based instructional courses including Macromedia Dreamweaver, Macromedia Director, Search Engine Optimization and Adobe Premiere Pro. When not teaching or writing, James provides consulting and technical services on the applications of multimedia and telecommunications technologies for training and education.
